Overload protection (see figure E)
If the constant voltage regulator is overloaded, the indicator
14 lights up. When the indicator 14 is lit up, this means a mal-
function has occurred. Stop working. Switch off the screw-
driver and constant voltage regulator. Leave the constant
voltage regulator to cool down for around 20 minutes.
Then start again.
If the indicator 14 lights up repeatedly, the constant voltage
regulator is faulty. Have it repaired by an authorised customer
service point for Bosch power tools.
Maintenance and Service
Maintenance and Cleaning
Disconnect the constant voltage regulator from the
mains before performing cleaning tasks. This avoids the
risk of electric shock. Switching off the constant voltage
regulator alone is not sufficient.
If the replacement of the supply cord is necessary, this has to
be done by Bosch or an authorized Bosch service agent in or-
der to avoid a safety hazard.
The constant voltage regulator requires no maintenance. Al-
ways keep the constant voltage regulator and ventilation slots
unobstructed and clean.
Regularly clean the connection sockets, couplings and plugs
of the constant voltage regulator (after it has been discon-
nected from the power-supply system) with a dry, lint-free
cloth, and remove dust and dirt particles.
Have maintenance and repair work performed exclu-
sively by a qualified specialist. This will ensure that the
safety of the constant voltage regulator is maintained.
An authorized Bosch after-sales service agent will carry out
this work quickly and reliably.
Observe all applicable environmental regulations when
disposing of old grease and solvents.
