Find out the voltage of the industrial cordless screwdriver that
you would like to operate with the constant voltage regulator
(see technical data in the instruction manual of the industrial
cordless screwdriver). Purchase the voltage adapter that is
compatible with your screwdriver.
A voltage adapter is not included with the constant voltage
regulator. Voltage adapters for 9.6 V, 12.0 V and 14.4 V are
currently available from specialist retailers.
The voltage adapters can be differentiated by the colour of
the housing of the D-Sub connector plug 9, which differs ac-
cording to voltage. The housing of the D-Sub connector plug
for a voltage of 9.6 V is light blue, the one for a voltage of 12 V
is red and the one for a voltage of 14.4 V is black.
Ensure that the constant voltage regulator is switched off or
that the power cable 6 is disconnected from the power sup-
ply.
 The adapter housing 8 may only be fitted on or re-
moved from the industrial cordless screwdriver when
the constant voltage regulator is switched off or when
the connector plug 9 is disconnected from the constant
voltage regulator.
Activate your screwdriver's lock-off switch and switch the
screwdriver off using the on/off switch. Then push the adapt-
er housing 8 into the handle of the industrial cordless screw-
driver. Ensure that you insert the adapter housing the correct
way round, pushing it in until you feel it click into place in the
handle.
Then insert the connector plug 9 for the voltage adapter 7 that
is compatible with your screwdriver into the connection sock-
et 13. Tighten the connector plug 9 in the connection socket
13 by hand-tightening the two screws 10.
Connection to the Power Supply (see figure C)
 Pay attention to the mains voltage. The voltage of the
power source must match the information on the type
plate of the voltage adapter. Voltage adapters marked with
230 V can also be operated with 220 V.
Firstly, insert the connector plug 18 for the power cable 6 into
the connection socket 5 for the constant voltage regulator.
You can now connect the constant voltage regulator to the
power supply by inserting the plug 19 into the socket.
 Always connect the power cable to the constant volt-
age regulator before inserting the plug 19 into the
socket. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock.
Dismounting
Disconnecting from the Power Supply (see figure C)
Firstly, remove the plug 19 from the socket. Then remove the
connector plug 18 for the power cable 6 from the connection
socket 5 of the constant voltage regulator.
 Always break the connection to the socket first. Other-
wise, there is a risk of electric shock.

Separating the screwdriver and constant voltage
regulator (see figure B)
 The adapter housing 8 may only be fitted on or re-
moved from the industrial cordless screwdriver when
the constant voltage regulator is switched off or when
the connector plug 9 is disconnected from the constant
voltage regulator.
Loosen the two screws 10 on the connector plug 9 and re-
move the connector plug from the connection socket 13.
Then press the release buttons 17 on both sides and remove
the adapter housing 8 from the handle of the industrial cord-
less screwdriver.
Operation

Initial Operation

 The voltage on the constant voltage regulator (display)
must match the voltage of the screwdriver. The con-
stant voltage regulator is only suitable for Bosch industrial
cordless screwdrivers from the Exact, AngleExact and
BT-Exact series with a voltage of between 9.6 V and
14.4 V. Otherwise there is a risk of fire and explosion.
Connect the constant voltage regulator to the industrial cord-
less screwdriver. Then connect the constant voltage regulator
to the power supply.
Switching the constant voltage regulator on/off
(see figure D)
You will need to put the constant voltage regulator into opera-
tion before activating the screwdriver.
 The constant voltage regulator may only be switched
on if the screwdriver is connected to the constant volt-
age regulator via the voltage adapter or if the D-Sub
connector plug is not inserted into the connection
socket 13.
To switch on the constant voltage regulator, switch the on/off
switch 12 to position 1.
To switch off the constant voltage regulator, switch the
on/off switch 12 to position 0.
On the constant voltage regulator, the display showing the
voltage of the voltage adapter lights up when the voltage
adapter is connected to the connection socket 13 for the con-
stant voltage regulator.
To save energy, only switch the constant voltage regulator on
when you are using it.
Switching the screwdriver on/off
Please follow the instruction manual for the connected indus-
trial cordless screwdriver.

Working Advice

When working, ensure that the constant voltage regulator is
not pulled from the work surface inadvertently. Either mount
the constant voltage regulator securely on the wall or lay the
connecting cables in such a way that you cannot trip over
them.
