3.1
Prerequisites
Prior to first use make sure that:
the fit must be perfect, e.g. to ensure an absolutely tight fit,
the personal protective equipment must be compatible with all
other types of personal protective equipment worn at the same
time (e.g. protective jacket),
the personal protective equipment must be suitable for the
respective workplace conditions,
the personal protective equipment must meet ergonomic and
health requirements of the respective wearer of respiratory
protective equipment.

Fitting the mask and checking its operability

WARNING
!
Beards and sideburns in the sealing range of the full-face
mask will cause leaks! Therefore the face mask should not
be used by anyone with facial hair of this sort. Spectacle
frames in the sealing range also cause leaks. Use mask
spectacles.
1. Unbutton carrying strap.
2. Open out the harness and place the
chin in the chin piece in the mask body.
3. Pull harness over your head and draw
backwards.
4. Adjust the full-face mask.
5. Evenly tighten the neck straps (1) first,
then the temple straps (2) and finally
the headband (3).
6. Don the helmet, close the chin strap
and check that the helmet sits firmly on
the head. Tighten the chin strap if
necessary.
7. Press button and insert demand valve into the equipment
connector.
8. Release the button and check whether the demand valve is
properly engaged.
