Turbo II M
GB
Conductive parts of machines, including suction
hoods, and conductive parts of equipment of pro-
tection class II must be electrostatically grounded.
The electrostatic grounding can be achieved by the
dust extractor or with separate means.
The exhaust turbine is not suitable for equipment
that generates sources of ignition.
The exhaust turbine can extract up to 8 or 14 work-
stations at the same time, whereby continuous op-
eration is possible depending on the ambient tem-
perature only with a smaller number of open intake
cross-sections.
Optimal functioning is only guaranteed with the use
of suction hoses which are 3.5 m long and have a di-
ameter of 27 mm.
Only use the exhaust turbines in internal ar-
eas.
The exhaust turbine is not suitable for extracting
dust that poses a high risk of explosion (e.g. explo-
sives), flammable liquids and mixtures of combus-
tible dust and flammable liquids.
The user is liable for improper or non-in-
tended use.

Safety instructions

WARNING!
Read all safety warnings, in-
structions, illustrations and specifications provid-
ed with this tool. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/
or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future ref-
erence.
Observe the following additional documents on the
enclosed compact disc:
– Installation Manual
– Circuit diagrams
– Spare parts lists
– Manual for Frequency Converter
– Operating Instructions for Blower
– Other product information
– EMC Instruction
– Prior to use, operating personnel must receive
information and instructions on how to use the
device and handle any materials involved as well
as relevant training, including safe procedures
for disposing of the extracted materials.
– Observe all the applicable safety regulations re-
lating to handling materials.

– Warning! This is a Class A device. This device
may cause radio interference suppression in
homes; in this case the operator may request ap-
propriate measures to be implemented.
– In an emergency (e.g. short circuit or other elec-
trical faults), switch off the device.
– Danger! Disconnect the appliance from the
mains supply before opening the control cabinet.
Make sure that there is no residual voltage before
commencing work in the control cabinet. All of
the frequency inverter's capacitors must be fully
discharged (wait for 10 minutes). Ensure proper
grounding.
– Risk of explosion and fire hazard: Also observe
any other restrictions relating to dust with an ig-
nition energy of less than 1 mJ specified by the
labour authorities. Do not absorb any sparks or
hot dust.
– During normal operation surface temperatures
over 80 °C, but not over 135 °C, may arise at the
device.
– A mechanical hazard of the display must be ruled
out.
– A disposal bag must be used for extracting haz-
ardous dust from dust class M.
WARNING!
Machine may contain hazardous
dust. Only authorised qualified specialists with
suitable protective equipment may perform
maintenance, empty the container and change
the filter.
– Always operate with the filter system installed!
– Do not damage the mains power cable (e.g. by
driving over, dragging, etc.). Protect from heat, oil
and sharp edges.
– Regularly check the cable and have it replaced by
a qualified electrician in the event of damage.
– Do not expose the machine to rain.
– Always use original Festool accessories.
– Disconnect from the power supply if not in use or
before maintenance and repair work.
– Attention! To avoid electrostatic charging do not
clean the device with a dry cloth. Use an anti-
static cloth or damp cloth.
– Warning! Risk of tipping during transport! The
turbine has a high center of gravity and therefore
must be moved carefully with forklift or lift truck.
