1.5 DESCRIPTION OF THE LIFT

The PONYBENCH-B lift is a machine designed and built for lifting vehicles to the height required to facilitate the
inspection and/or sanding of motorvehicle bodies and is constructed in two versions:
• PONYBENCH BEPLUS: electro-hydraulic lift
• PONYBENCH BPPLUS: pneumatic-hydraulic lift
The PONYBENCH-B consists basically of a mobile welded steel frame raised by means of a single-acting hydraulic
jack which controls a mechanism consisting of two pairs of connecting rods that form the arms of the pantograph
mechanism.The power is supplied by a hydraulic unit that sends the pressurised oil to the lifting jack through a gear
pump.
The two models differ only in the source of power sent to the control unit (compressed air for the PONYBENCH BPPLUS
and electrical current for the PONYBENCH BEPLUS).
The essential parts of the lifts are (fi g. 2a/2b):
1) Fixed base frame structure sunken into the fl oor;
2) 4 adjustable rubber vehicle support buffer lifting arms;
3) 4 adjustable rubber vehicle support buffers;
4) Control console (with buttons, selectors and pneumatic-hydraulic or electrohydraulic control unit);
5) Upper movable platform;
6) Single-acting hydraulic jack;
7) Pantograph lifting arms;
