5.5 Announcements via the DJ microphone

For switching on and off the DJ microphone connected
to channel 1 as well as for activating the talkover func-
tion, set the selector switch (12) to the corresponding
position.
1. In position MIC OFF the microphone is switched off.
2. In position MIC ON the microphone is switched on.
3. In position TALK the microphone is switched on and
the talkover function is activated (LED next to the
selector switch lights): during a microphone an-
nouncement the levels of channels 2 to 4 are auto-
matically attenuated by 16 dB.
Note: If the selector switch (12) is in position TALK
with connected DJ microphone, the talkover function is
activated, even if the fader of channel 1 is set to mini-
mum or the stereo line input has been selected via the
input selector switch (3). Signal levels at the micro-
phone are certainly not audible in this case but they
lead to an automatic level attenuation of the remaining
channels.
