to the master signal with the control AUX RETURN
(18).
8) To feed the input signal of the jacks TAPE IN (14)
also to the master signal, press the button TAPE TO
MIX (23).
To feed merely the TAPE IN signal to the master
signal, press the button TAPE TO MIX and set the
level controls of all other audio sources [LEVEL (10)
and AUX RETURN (18), if required] to the left stop.
9) Via the LED VU-meter (26), adjust the definitive vol-
ume of the master signal (total of all input signals)
that is sent to the outputs MAIN OUT (13), REC
OUT (15), CTRL R OUT (16) and PHONES (17)
with the control MAIN MIX (27).
Usually there will be an optimum level control
when the VU-meter shows values in the 0 dB range
at average volume. However, if the output level of
the mixer is too high or too low for the following unit,
control the master signal accordingly to a lower or
higher level.
5.2.1 Adjusting the effect AUX way
The effect unit must be connected via the jacks
AUX SEND (12) and STEREO AUX RETURNS (11)
→ chapter 4.2.
1) First set the output control AUX SEND (19) and the
input control AUX RETURN (18) roughly to mid-
position so that the subsequent effect adjustments
will be audible.
2) With the controls AUX/EFF (7), mix the signals of
the channels 1 to 5/6 to the effect way. These con-
trols allow to adjust the desired effect intensity sep-
arately for each channel.
3) With the control AUX SEND (19), adjust the level for
the output signal of the effect way that is sent to the
effect unit.
4) With the control AUX RETURN (18), mix the signal
processed by the effect unit to the master signal.
This control allows to increase or decrease the
effect intensity jointly for all channels.
5.3 Monitoring via monitor system
and headphones
With the button TAPE TO CONTROL (22), select the
monitor signal for the monitor system at the output
CTRL R OUT (16) and the headphones at the output
PHONES (17):
– When the button is not pressed, the master signal
adjusted with the control MAIN MIX (27) will be mon-
itored and indicated by the VU-meter (26).
– When the button is pressed, the input signal of the
jacks TAPE IN (14) will be monitored and indicated
by the VU-meter.
Adjust the volume of the monitor signal with the control
HEADPHONE/CTRL R (20).
