These are its main features:
Two-channel mixer with two selectable inputs per channel (balanced mic and line).
Class D integrated stereo amplifier: 70W RMS 4, 38W RMS 8, 96W RMS 8 bridged (AMI2-70)
and >60W RMS 100V, >60W RMS 70V (AMI2-70TR).
Direct microphone input on the front panel, channel 1.
Includes talkover assigned to channel 1 with internal selector for recovery time and efficiency
(see diagram).
Stereo mini-jack connector on the front panel for direct connection of an iPod® or similar sound
sources (channel 2). Channel 2 also has a stereo RCA input duplicated on the back panel.
Adjustable mic sensitivity with a trimmer on the back panel.
+15V Phantom power available for all MIC inputs.
Level control for each channel.
Three independent band tone controls per channel; accessible with a screwdriver.
Output level control.

0dBV REC output, +6dBV selectable.
Direct MIX input to the mixing "bus", increasing the number of interconnected inputs or outputs,
to patch for example another AMI2-70/TR unit or a SAM type mixer.
Remote MUTE of all inputs to allow connection to fire detection systems or any other required
remote device. Internally configurable NO / NC (Normally Open / Normally Closed).

3. INSTALLATION
It's an amplified mixer especially designed to be located in a 19" rack cabinet, occupying 1U of
height. The AMI2-70/TR has been conceived to be manipulated with low technical knowledge. Therefore
its input sensitivity and tone settings are not accessible. First ones are done with a trimmer on the back
panel, second ones are done from the front panel but with a screwdriver.
Two considerations must be taken into account when you look for the right location where to put
your AMI2-70/TR: first, maximum user comfort and second, easy access to the back panel in order to plug
several different devices to and from the unit.
Also, you should place the AMI2-70/TR away from noise sources (dimmers, motors, etc...), as well
as from the power cables.
The AMI2-70/TR operates under voltages from 90 to 264 V at 47 to 63 Hz. This device features
an over dimensioned power supply that adapts to the mains voltage in any country of the world with no
need to make any adjustments.
In order to protect the unit from eventual overloads, the AMI2-70/TR is protected by a timered power
fuse (28) of 4A. If it gets blown up, you must replace it with an identical one. NEVER REPLACE THE
FUSE WITH ANOTHER ONE WITH A HIGHER VALUE.
CAUTION: Fuse substitutions have to be performed by a qualified technician.
