3 Description and function

The 476E52=SK010/15/20/25/30/35/40/45 Elevating Swivel Units are
intended for assembling channel forearm pads (not included in the delivery
of the Elevating Swivel Unit) on wheelchairs or seating systems. Depending
on the design, the Elevating Swivel Unit can be mounted onto wheelchair
armrests with a tube diameter of 19 mm=¾", 20 mm, 22.2 mm=7/8", or 25.4
mm=1" to provide a moveable mounting surface for channel forearm pads.
All Ottobock modular channel forearm pads can be mounted to this Swivel Unit.
The forearm angle can be adjusted to 0°, 12.5°, or 25°.
For swivel adjustment of the channel forearm pad you may choose between
two different modes of swivel adjustment:
a) Continuous swiveling without stop
b) Adjustment in increments of 15°
If required, lateral adjustment can be achieved by using the 436H1=7
Offset Plate (to be ordered separately).
Upon delivery, the Elevating Swivel Unit is prepared for use on the right
side. If you want to mount the Swivel Unit on the left side of the wheelchair,
please make the following modification:
a) Loosen the screws marked in Figure 1. Pull out the two screws and
bushings and insert them into the corresponding holes on the opposite
side.
