Tips for Slow Cooking:
• Browning meats before slow cooking adds flavor and depth to the sauces. This
can be done in this appliance. Trim meat and pat dry before browning.
• Ground meat should always be browned before slow cooking.
• Make sure inner pot is filled no less than ½ and no more than ¾.
• Meats cooked on the bone take longer than when bone is removed.
• Beef will take longer to cook than chicken and pork because of the connective
tissue.
• Ingredients such as, fish, dairy products and fresh herbs are best added toward the
end of cooking.
• When using pasta, cook the pasta ½ the suggested cooking time on the pasta
package before adding to a recipe in the 5-in-1 Cooking System.
• Changing the time when using Slow Cooking will only happen in 30-minute
increments.
ROAST FUNCTION
1. Place the rack in the inner pot.
2. Press Power
3. Press Roast "Asar" Button.
4. The automatic setting of 150°C and the time of 2 hours will appear on the LCD.
5. To change, press Up
"Temp".
6. Press Start/Stop "Iniciar/Parar" Button to begin.
7. Preheating will flash on LCD until appliance is fully heated - then will disappear and the
time will start counting down. There will be an audible signal.
8. Carefully lift lid away from you and add ingredients to be roasted using potholders
and spatulas.
9. Cover with glass lid.
10. At end of selected time, there is an audible signal and the LCD will flash.
11. Press the Power
WARNING: Do not touch the metal housing of the appliance with unprotected
hands while in use or until it has cooled completely.
Tips for Roasting:
• Browning of meats before roasting adds flavor.
• Because the heat is well contained, the meats will roast quickly.
• If roasting with vegetables, place them on the bottom of the rack before adding the
meat.
• Adding dried herbs and spices to meats increases flavor and color. Add them after
browning the meat.
