TROUBLE SHOOTING
PROBLEM
No power.
Brush motors do not operate.
Vacuum motor does not operate.
Drive motor does not operate.
Drive motor operates improperly.
Little or no solution flow.
Short run time.

CAUSE
Faulty main switch.
Batteries need charging.
Faulty battery(s).
Loose battery cable.
MAIN circuit breaker has tripped.
Brush switch is not on.
Control grips are not rotated.
Brush circuit breaker(s) has tripped.
Faulty brush motor or wiring.
Carbon brushes worn.
Faulty brush switch or solenoid.
Faulty vacuum switch.
Vacuum circuit breaker has tripped.
Faulty vacuum motor or wiring.
Carbon brushes worn.
Drive motor circuit breaker has
tripped.
Faulty speed control circuit board or
connection.
Faulty solenoid.
Faulty drive motor.
Faulty wiring.
Worn carbon brushes.
Faulty potentiometer or speed control
board.
Loose wire connection
Solution flow adjustment knob needs
adjusting.
Solution line or solution tank filter is
clogged.
Solution valve or solenoid is clogged.
Faulty solution switch or solenoid.
Loose set screw on solution knob.
Batteries not fully charged.
Bad cell in one or more batteries.
Batteries need maintenance.
Faulty charger.

SOLUTION
Contact Service Center.
See CHARGING BATTERIES.
Replace battery(s).
Tighten loose cable.
Determine cause and reset circuit
breaker button.
Turn on brush switch.
Rotate control grips.
Clean or replace pad or brush and
reset brush circuit breaker button.

Remove obstruction and reset
breaker.

Determine cause and reset breaker.

Turn solution flow knob clockwise to
increase flow.
Remove hose and blow compressed
air through it. Flush solution tank after
each use.
Remove valve or solenoid and clean.
Do not scratch inside of valve.

Calibrate knob and retighten screw.
Charge batteries.
Replace battery.
