Note
The batteries are maintenance-free, but have a limited life span
of 1-3 years.
z Battery life depends on the number of operations per week
and the length of the season.
z The batteries should only be replaced by a service dealer.
z Do not place used batteries in your household trash.
z Batteries must be collected, recycled, or disposed of in an
environmentally sound manner.
z Return the old batteries to an approved sealed lead (acid)
battery recycler.
Batteries Replacement

Warningr!
Blade is very sharp and can cause severe cuts or lacerations.
z Lift the bumper and remove the batteries fuse.
1. Remove the cutting height ad-
justment knob by lifting it up-
wards.
2. Unscrew the five nuts manu-
ally at the rear side of the
Chassis cover. If you find it dif-
ficult use a wide flat screwdri-
ver.
3. Lift the rear side of the cover.
4. Disconnect only the two cables
from the left battery.
5. Place the new battery and connect the cables to the battery tabs
when the red and the black cables are fitted to the color on the
battery.
6. Disconnect the cables from the right battery.
7. Place the new battery and slightly crimp the battery connectors
with plyers, so that they fit tightly on the battery tabs.
8. Connect the cables to the battery tabs respectively by color;
9. Insert the batteries fuse and confirm the Robomow wakes up.

Winter Storage
Robo Scooter 500
1. Remove the battery fuse and clean the Robo Scooter 500.
2. Store Robomow indoors in a clean a dry place, standing on its
wheels; confirm the area around the bumper is free.
3. Insert the battery fuse and
connect the winter charger to
the mains supply for the entire
period in which Robo Scooter
500 will not be operating; con-
firm 'Charging' is displayed
and 'Ready – keep charging'
when the battery is fully char-
ged.

Attention!
The winter Charger is an integrated part of the Robomow and
it is designed for indoor dry use only.
z Do not charge Robomow where wet contact is likely.

Attention!
Never connect the winter charger while Robo Scooter 500 is
still in the Base Station.

Note
z The charging system and battery are designed such that
they can remain plugged in at all times of non-use without
concern to over charging, over heating or damaging the bat-
tery.
Base Station / Perimeter Switch

Note
It is recommended to remove the Base Station for the winter
period.
1. Disconnect the power supply from the mains power;
2. Open the Base Station / Perimeter Switch cover;
3. Disconnect all connectors from the board;
4. You can now remove the Base Station cover/ Perimeter Switch
and place it in dry storage;
5. It is recommended to store the power supply in a dry storage; if
not possible, protect the cable end from moisture to prevent cor-
rosion while not connected to the Base Station.
6. Disconnect the green plot connector (keep it connected on the
board for the next season) from the perimeter wire ends and pro-
tect it from moisture to prevent corrosion of the wires while not
connected to the Base Station; You may place the wire nut con-
nector onto both wire ends for protection in the winter;
7. Protect the remaining connector using the black rubber cover.
After Winter Storage
z Confirm that all connections, charging pins and wire ends are
clean prior the first operation; if required, clean the contacts with
a small piece of fine sandpaper, 200 grit or higher or using steel
wool of '00' or higher grade.
z Place the Base Station in its place and connect all cables to the
board
z Confirm that Robo Scooter 500 displays the correct time and
date.
