The brake clamp is positioned over the control axis in the joint bottom.
The knee locks via locking discs. Unlocking is effected by means of the
release cord.
The locking mechanism provides automatic locking function during full
extension.
After deactivating the lock (see 4.4), knee stability is guaranteed when the
load on the prosthesis causes higher friction resistance between brake axis
and brake clamp.
Without load, the knee is freely movable. Even if loaded in slightly flexed
position (up to 10°), the brake guarantees the desired safety.
