Screws and screwed connections
Unless otherwise specified, a friction coefficient of 0.14 is required for all screwed connections.
Unless otherwise specified, a strength class of 8.8 (metric) or grade 5 (imperial) is required for
all screws.
The screws must be secured against loosening as described in chapter
Screw Retention [} 59].

The following preparations can be made for the installation of the measuring system:

– Stripping tool
– Tin snips and diamond file if necessary
– Installation lighting, e.g. headlamp

– Recommended: EMC shield terminal (Order code: 8.0000.4G06.0312)
– Screws for fastening the sensor on the car
– Cable clamps or cable ties for fastening the signal line
– Optional: additional large diameter washers for surface compensation

Safety assessment of the fastening
The sensor housing can be mounted on the elevator car using the T-
slot in the housing or the mounting plate on the housing. To this
purpose, the following parameters must be complied with and
documented for the certification / type examination.
• Fastening elements mounted in the T-slot or on the housing cover
shall not overload the housing material (cover→GD-ZnAl4Cu1,
housing→EN AW-6060, AlMgSi, T66) and the geometry.
• Creating additional fastening points in the housing is not allowed.
• The fastening for the sensor must be designed in accordance with
the safety guidelines of the competent inspection authority.
• Separable connections such as screws must be secured against
loosening.
Tools
For assembly, use only checked and calibrated tools subjected to a
quality system.
