General safety warnings
General safety warnings
• WARNING: Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and in-
structions may result in electric shock, fire, serious
injury and/or death.
• Use the tool and accessories in accordance with
these instructions, taking into account the working
conditions and the work to be performed. Use of
the tool for operations different from those intended
could result in a hazardous situation.
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use com-
mon sense when operating the tool. Do not use the
tool if you are tired or under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medication. A moment of in-attention
while operating the tool may result in serious per-
sonal injury or damaged material.
• The risks to others shall be assessed by the operator.
• Use CE-marked eye protection with front and
side protection against flying objects and CE-
marked head protection when handling, operating,
and servicing the tool.
• Use CE-marked ear protection near or at the
job site to prevent hearing damage. Unprotected
exposure to high noise levels can cause perma-
nent, disabling, hearing loss and other problems
such as tinnitus (ringing, buzzing, whistling or hum-
ming in the ears). It is employer's responsibility to
enforce tool users and all other nearby personnel at
the job site to wear personal protective equipment
such as eye protection, dust mask, non-skid safety
shoes, hard hat and/or hearing protection.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewel-
lery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from
moving parts to avoid serious injuries. Only wear
gloves that provide adequate feel and safe control
of trigger and any adjusting devices. Wear warm
clothing when working in cold conditions, to keep
your hands warm and dry.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance
at all times. This enables better control of the tool in
unexpected situations.
• When working at heights, please use a safety rope
to connect the tool with construction frame or set
up a safety net, as dropped materials or tools can
cause accidents.
• Prevent unexpected actuation. Do not carry the tool
with your finger on the trigger. Keep fingers away
from trigger when not operating the tool and when
moving from one operation position to another.
• Respect the tool as a working implement.
• Do not engage in horseplay.
• Remove any tools used for maintenance or repair
before using the tool. Tools left attached to a moving
part of the tool may result in personal injury.
• Handle the tool with care, as it can get cold, affect-
ing grip and control.
• Never use tool in the presence of flammable dust,
gases or fumes. The tool may produce a spark that

could ignite gases causing a fire and cause the tool
to explode.
• Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark
areas invite to accidents.
• Do not use the tool if it is not in proper working
condition.
• Inspect the tool before operating to determine that it
is in proper working order. Check for misalignment,
binding of moving parts and any other condition
that may affect the operation. Do not operate if any
of the above mentioned conditions occur as it can
cause malfunction.
• Only technically skilled persons, who have read and
understood the operating/safety instructions should
operate the tool.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating
the tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
• Do not force the tool. Use the correct tool for your
application as it will do the job better and safer at
the rate for which it was designed.
• Do not actuate the tool unless it is placed firmly against
the work piece.
• To reduce risk of injury:
∙ always maintaining control of the tool and be
ready to counteract normal or sudden movements.
∙ keeping face and body parts away from the tool.
• Do not use this tool for cutting electrical cables. It is
not designed for electric cable installation and may
damage the insulation of electric cables thereby
causing electric shock or fire hazards. Furthermore
the tool is not insulated from coming into contact
with electric power.
• Do not use the tool to perform other jobs than the
designated function. Especially do not use it as a
hammer. Impact on the tool will increase the risk of
damaged tool and unexpected actuation.
• Do not use the tool if safety warning label(s) are
missing or damaged.
• Do not expose the tool to rain, snow or wet condi-
tions and do not immerse the tool into water or other
fluids, as it will increase the risk of electric shock.
• Do not remove, tamper with, or otherwise cause tool
operating controls to become inoperable. Do not
operate the tool if any portion of the tool operating
controls is inoperable, disconnected, altered, or not
working properly.
• The tool should not be modified unless authorized
in the manual or approved in writing by Kyocera
Unimerco Fastening. Fail to comply can lead to
dangerous situations or injury's.
• Keep hands and body away from the cutting
area of the tool.
• Use only accessories made or recommended by
the tool manufacturer, or accessories that perform
equivalently to those recommended by Kyocera
Unimerco Fastening.
• Children shall not play with the tool. Cleaning and
user maintenance shall not be made by children.
• Maintain the tool with care. If damaged, have it re-
paired before use. Please refer to the maintenance
loading
