Safety-related information
Both the latest edition and other languages of these
instructions for use can be downloaded in the
Technical Documentation database
(www.draeger.com/ifu). Due to product
actualisations, Dräger recommend always using the
latest edition of the instructions for use.
Before using this product, carefully read these Instructions
for Use and those of the associated products.
Strictly follow the Instructions for Use. The user must fully
understand and strictly observe the instructions. Use the
product only for the purposes specified in the Intended use
section of this document.
Do not dispose of the Instructions for Use. Ensure that they
are retained and appropriately used by the product user.
Comply with all local and national rules and regulations
associated with this product.
Only trained and competent personnel are permitted to
inspect,
repair
and
recommends a Dräger service contract for all maintenance
activities and that all repairs are carried out by Dräger.
Only authentic Dräger spare parts and
accessories may be used for maintenance. Otherwise the
proper functioning of the product may be impaired.
Do not use a faulty or incomplete product. Do not modify
the product. The product must not be fitted with third-party
components.
Notify Dräger in the event of any product or component
fault or failure.
Incorrect or third-party inner fittings, the drilling of new
holes for accessories or other modifications to the helmet
may adversely affect the protective function and invalidate
any approval.
When fitted with another item of personal protective
equipment or with an accessory other than as supplied by
the helmet manufacturer for use with this helmet, a helmet
marked as complying with this European standard might no
longer satisfy all clauses of this European standard.
This helmet complies with the requirements of the
European standards when the chin strap supplied by the
helmet manufacturer is worn and adjusted in accordance
with these instructions.
The HPS 3500 helmet, for use in water according to the
requirements of EN 1385:2012, must be used with the
retention system without the chin cup.
