Basic safety instructions for
pressure washers
1. WORKING AREA SAFETY:
a) Keep your working area clean, organized
and well lit. A messy or dimly lit workplaces
may be hazardous.
b) Do not operate the pressure washer
in environments that present a risk of
explosion or where flammable liquids,
gases, or powders are present. The pressure
washer generates sparks while in operation,
which might ignite powders or fumes.
c) Keep children and other people away from
the pressure washer while it is in use. If the
operator becomes distracted, he or she can
lose control of the spray and accidentally injury
someone in close proximity.
2. ELECTRICAL SAFETY:
a) The pressure washer plug must be fully
inserted into the outlet. Do not modify the
plug. Do not use adapters with grounded
appliances. Standardized plugs and proper
outlets reduce the risk of electric shock.
ATTENTION: if the power cord is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer or
an authorized agent or a qualified person to
avoid hazards.
b) Avoid coming into direct physical contact
with grounded surfaces, such as pipes,
refrigerators and heaters. There is a higher
risk of electric shock when a body part comes

into direct contact with the ground.
c) Keep the appliance protected from rain
and moisture. Never direct the spray to the
pressure washer. Water getting inside the
machine increases the risk of electric shock and
may damage the equipment.
d) Do not carry or hang the appliance by
the power cord or tug at the power cord to
disconnect the plug from the outlet. Keep the
power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or
the appliance´s moving parts. Damaged cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
e) Do not operate the pressure washer if the
on/off button is damaged. A damaged on/off
button increases the risk of electric shock.
f) Never touch the plug or the outlet with
wet hands. Touching plugs or outlets with wet
hands increased the risk of electric shock.
g) This appliance's electrical connection
must be done by a qualified electrician and
comply with international standard IEC
60364-1. Installation not carried out by qualified
professionals can be hazardous.
NOTE: it is recommended that the electrical
installation for this appliance have a residual
current device to interrupt the power supply
in case the ground leakage current exceeds
30 mA, or a device to proof the ground
circuit.
h)

waterproof plugs and outlets. Water intrusion
in the plug or outlet increases the risk of electric
shock.
