capshouldhavebeencovered with plastic a s previously instructed.

housing Remove the beltkeeperascalledoutin FigureI1+Return
thesnowthrower to its uprightposition to complete the following
steps+
2. Slipthefrontaugerbeltoff ofthe engine pulieypushing i t forward
androllingin offofthe pulley, S ee Figure10
3. Squeeze theaugercontrolhandle to releasetheaugerbrake,
whichisthetab thatholdsthebeltontothe augerpulley Remove
thebeit
4. Replace with newbeltafterreplacing thedrivebelt.

NOTE:Replace thedrivebeltbeforereassembling t he newaugerbelt
I Tipthesnowthrowerup andforwardsothatit restsonthe auger
housing.
IMPORTANT: Remember, gascouldleakfromthecarburetor a t this
point,thegascapshouldhavebeencovered withplasticas previously
instructed+
2 Remove the springthatconnectsthetransmission
to a boltonthe
engine frame SeeFigure11.
NOTE:it maybe easiertofirstremove theflangelocknut, thenuse
needle+nosed p lierstofirmlygrip springandremove fromboll
3 Pivotthetransmission forwardtoreleasepressure on thedrivebelt.
Remove beltfromtransmission pu!tey.
4+ Remove thedrivebeltfromaroundtheenginepulley, a nd away
fromthe unit
5. Placethe newdrivebelt into the groove on the engine pulley,See
Figure10.
6+ Tiltthetransmission forwardandposition the drivebeltonto the
transmission p ulley
7 Reconnect t hespringto the boltontheengineframeandsecure
thetransmissionReinstall t heflangelocknut..
8. Installnewaugerbeltr
9. Reassemble t he beltcoveron thesnowthrower
10 Reassemble thebeltkeeperto thehousing.
