The motor protection filter is located in the dust compartment and cleans the air before it enters

the motor. To achieve the best vacuuming results and protect the motor, we recommend that you
remove and rinse the motor protection filter once a year. Replace the filter if it's damaged.
1.
Turn off and unplug the appliance.
2.
Press the locking lever for the dust compartment lid and open the lid as far as it will go.
3.
Take out the dustbag holder to access the motor protection filter holder.
4.
Hold the filter holder and slide it out.
5.
Rinse the filter holder and filter with running water and let them dry thoroughly. Do not use
detergents as this can affect the filter performance.
6.
Replace the filter holder with the filter.
7.
Replace the dustbag holder.
8.
Close the dust compartment lid, making sure it clicks into position. Take care not to trap the
dustbag when doing so.
6.3. CLEANING THE EXHAUST FILTER (FIGURE 2)
The exhaust filter is located in the exhaust filter compartment and cleans the air before it exits the
vacuum cleaner. To achieve the best vacuuming results and protect the motor, we recommend that
you remove and rinse the exhaust filter once a year. Replace the filter if it's damaged.
1.
Turn off and unplug the appliance.
2.
Pinch the two release buttons at the top of the exhaust filter cover and pull out the cover.
3.
Press down and pull the locking tab at the top of the exhaust filter holder, then pull out the filter
holder.
4.
Rinse the filter holder and filter with running water and let them dry thoroughly. Do not use
detergents as this can affect the filter performance.
5.
Replace the filter holder with the filter. To replace the filter holder, insert the bottom of it, then
push the top of it until it locks into place.
6.
Replace the exhaust filter cover. To replace the cover, insert the bottom of it, then push the top
of it until it locks into place.
