emergency opening. The hinges are at the back side and the locking system at the front side;
only when the lid is closed the centrifuge can start running, otherwise the alarm system (sound)
will activate and operation will not be able to start.
To open the lid, press the lid open button on the control panel
lifted manually up to a certain height, the hinges and springs are able to support its weight.
In case of power failure or problems with the open button
take out the samples on time, it will be necessary to use the emergency opening system; for
this, pull the cord slowly until the lid is open (the position of emergency lock cord is show non
Figure 1).
Never open the lid manually with the equipment running or
turned on!
11. The inner chamber consists of a stainless steel chamber and sealing rubber joints. This
inner chamber provides a stable working environment.
12. The equipment uses a variable frequency electric motor to move the rotor that contains
the samples. The motor shaft connects with the rotor by means of a conical system that
assures a smooth and precise movement.
13. The rotor system includes adapters for tubes of different capacities (for more detail,
please refer to Chart 1. "Type of adapters and technical parameters") and other related
accessories. The function of rotor is to serve as support of samples for centrifugation at a
certain rotation speed that results in a certain relative centrifugal force that produces the
separation of sample. As a result of the rotation speed, the relative centrifugal force is
thousands of times the Earth gravitational acceleration (g), so it is essential a safety use and
maintenance of the rotor.
14. The base of the equipment is composed of a steel protecting plate and supporting legs.
15. The power system includes the power socket and switch, which is responsible of the
equipment's electrical supply from the power net.
16. The control system includes setting of speed, relative centrifugal force, time,
acceleration/deceleration rates and the whole system of display, alarms, etc. To assure a
proper and safety use never disassemble the equipment!.
17. The display system consists of a LED display and PVC keyboard (control panel). This is
the interface for user-machine dialogue. It can simultaneously display and set the different
parameters as well as display a variety of errors.
18. The alarm systems incudes lid cover fault, over speed, imbalance, over pressure, etc.
When the equipment detects a fault or problem, the alarm system will start with buzzer sound,
parameters on display will blink and centrifuge cannot start running or it will stop automatically;
once problem is solved, the centrifuge can be re-started. Note: to mute the alarm sound, press
the start/stop button
on the control panel.
