● Only touch the rotating spiral with gloves recommended by the manufac-
turer. Latex or loose fi tting gloves or cloths can get tangled up in the spiral and
cause serious injuries.
● Do not allow the cutter to become blocked whilst the spiral is still rotating.
This can overload the spiral and lead to twisting, snapping or breaking of the
spiral, resulting in serious injuries.
● Use latex or rubber gloves inside the guide gloves as well as eye protec-
tion, face protection, protective clothing and respiratory protection when
chemicals, bacteria or other toxic or infectious substances are suspected
in the drain pipe. Drains can contain chemicals, bacteria and other substances
which are caustic, toxic or infectious or can lead to other serious injuries.
● Take hygiene precautions. Do not eat or smoke when handling or operating
the power tool. Wash your hands and other parts of the body that have been
exposed to the contents of the drain with hot, soapy water after using the
drain cleaning equipment. This will help to reduce health risks from contact
with toxic or infectious material.
● Only use the drain cleaner for the permissible drain sizes. Using a drain
cleaner of the wrong size can lead to twisting, snapping or breaking of the spiral,
resulting in serious injuries.
● Only use the guide gloves from the REMS original accessories for guiding
the rotating spiral, see "1.2. Article numbers". There is a danger of injury
when using unsuitable gloves made of, e.g., rubber, leather or similar material
and when using a loose cloth for example.
● Never let the electric pipe cleaning machine operate unattended. Switch
off the electric pipe cleaning machine during longer work breaks, pull out
the mains plug. Electrical devices can cause hazards which lead to material
damage or injury when left unattended.
● Children and persons who, due to their physical, sensory or mental abilities
or lack of experience and knowledge are unable to operate the electric pipe
cleaning machine safely may not use this electric pipe cleaning machine
without supervision or instruction by a responsible person. Otherwise there
is a risk of operating errors and injuries.
● Keep persons away from your working area. Do not let other persons, especially
children, touch the power tool or cable. Keep them away from your working area.
● Keep unused power tools in a safe place. Power tools should be stored in a
dry, high or locked place out of the reach of children when not in use.
● Do not use low performance power tools for heavy-duty work. There is a
risk of injury.
● Only use approved and appropriately marked extension leads with a suffi -
cient cable cross-section. Use extension leads up to a length of 10 m with
cable cross-section 1.5 mm², from 10 – 30 m with cable cross-section 2.5 mm².
REMS Mini-Cobra
● Remove the crank handle (8) before using the pipe cleaning machine with
an electric drill/screwdriver (8). There is a risk of injury.
● Only use suitable electric drills/screwdrivers with electronic speed control
and observe the operating instructions of the electric drill/screwdriver.

● Never use/lock the fi xing button of the electric drill's/screwdriver's on/off
switch. There is a risk of injury.
● Observe the reaction torque of the drive unit to the spiral drum (10) and
operate the electric pipe cleaning machine only with both hands on the
handle (7) and switch handle (2) the electric drill/screwdriver. There is a risk
of injury.
● Pay attention to the distance from the end of the pipe to the chuck. The
cleaning spiral can whiplash if the distance is too great (> 200 mm). There is a
risk of injury!
● Do not use drive units with quick stop. If the drive unit is shut down immediately,
the vibration torque of the still moving spiral drum (10) can knock over the unit.
