Use of these devices can reduce dust related hazards.
h) Only allow trained personnel to use the power tool. Apprentices may
only operate the power tool when they are over 16, when this is neces-
sary for their training and when they are supervised by a trained opera-
tive.
D) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your
application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at
the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off.
Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous
and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any
adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such
preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool
accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow
persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to
operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of
untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving
parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect
the power tools operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired
by a qualified expert or by an authorised REMS after-sales service
facility before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained
power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools
with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Secure the workpiece. Use clamps or a vice to hold the workpiece.
This is safer than holding it with your hand, and also it frees both hands
to operate the equipment.
h) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc., in accordance
with these instructions and in the manner intended for the particular
type of power tool, taking into account the working conditions and
the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different
from those intended could result in a hazardous situation. All unauthor-
ised modifications to the power tool are prohibited for safety reasons.
E) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using
only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of
the power tool is maintained.
b) Comply with maintenance instructions and instructions on tool
replacements.
c) Check mains lead of power tool regularly and have it replaced by
a qualified expert or an authorised REMS after-sales service facility
in case of damage. Check extension cable regularly and replace it
when damaged.
Specific Safety Instructions
● Caution – potentially lethal explosion risk! Do not transport any liquids
with a flash point of less than 55°C. Do not transport fuel or solvents.
● Caution – risk of scalding due to high media temperature. Fill the
system only when it is in its cold state, Cover the solar collectors if
necessary.
● Caution – risk of injury from sprayed-out liquid. Tighten the hose
screw connections and check for leaks regularly.
● Caution – risk of burning due to hot motor housing. Shut off the
suction or pressure hose only briefly (max. 60 seconds), otherwise the
pump will overheat. Do not allow the pump to run dry for more than 60
seconds.
● Caution – avoid environmental damage from outflowing transported
media. Collect outflowing transported medium immediately and dispose
of it in accordance with the regulations that apply.

2.1. Electrical connection
Caution: Mains voltage present! Before connecting the unit, check
whether the voltage given on the rating plate corresponds to the mains
voltage.
2.2. Connecting the electrical filling and flushing unit to the solar
system
Connect one of the two fabric hoses as the pressure hose at the pres-
sure side pump connection (1). Connect the 2nd fabric hose as the
suction hose at the return connection (2) of the plastic tank (3). Connect
the respective free ends of the pressure and suction hose to the boiler
filling and drainage valves of the solar system and open the boiler
filling and drainage valves. Close the connecting valve between the
two boiler filling and drainage valves of the solar system. Fill the plastic
tank (3) with heat transfer medium and open the ball valve (4). Plug
the mains plug of the electrical filling and flushing unit into the socket
with a protective earth.
3. Operation
Switch the pump on at the On / Off switch (5). Open and remove the
screw cover (6) on the plastic tank (3) so that the air can escape from

the system. Observe the liquid level in the plastic tank and, if neces-

sary, refill with heat transfer medium so that no air enters the solar
