requirements.
The FCWI fan coil must be installed in a position where the air
can be distributed throughout the room, and with no obstacles
(curtains or objects) to the passage of the air from the suction
grilles. The unit must be positioned so as to facilitate routine
maintenance (filter cleaning) and extraordinary maintenance,
along with access to the air drain valve heat exchanger coil, at a
height of 190-220 cm.
Water connections:
Female Ø 1/2" flat flared. The water flow direction is
indicated on the unit pipes.
Condensate discharge connections:
Female with internal diameter Øi 16 mm.
The delivery and return pipes must be the same, made of
copper and with a minimum diameter Ø 1/2". They must be
suitable insulated to prevent heat loss or dripping in cooling
mode.
The conduits for the water and condensate discharge, and the
electrical circuit, must already have been prepared on the
wall. The diameter of the hole for the connections must be
minimum 70mm, and the pipes must be positioned so as to
maintain the right inclination along their length (min.1%) to
ensure the discharge of condensate produced when the fan
coil is working in cooling mode.
The condensate discharge system must be of a suitable size.
If it's connected to the drainage system, you are advised to
create a U-trap to prevent bad smells from entering.
The conduit service hole can be on either the right or the left
of the unit.
The supporting wall must be robust and not subject to
vibrations.
Do not install the unit near sources of heat, steam or
flammable gas.
Do not install in a place exposed to direct sunlight.
INSTALLATION
To install the unit, proceed as follows:
- Assembled the template on the wall, fixing it firmly in
place by inserting at least 6 screws or wall plugs (suitable
for the material of the wall) in the holes around the edge.
The template must adhere to the wall, be at right angles to
Prepare the system with
flat connections.
Make the hydraulic con-
nections, using gaskets.

the floor, and be perfectly horizontal. Failure to respect
these conditions will cause water to drip from the drip
tray.
- Remove the casing.
- The FCWI unit offers 4 connection possibilities.
For connections through the wall, make a hole with a
diameter of 70mm, tilting downwards by 5-10mm.
For connections towards the sides or the bottom, remove the
push-out element of the casing (positioned in line with the
pipe transit point).
- Make the electrical connections as shown in the wiring
diagram.
