SYSTEM FEATURES
HARDWARE SETTINGS
The fan coil operating logic can be altered by changing the
setting of the DIP switches on the control card. The following
table shows the default settings (DIP1, DIP2, DIP3 and DIP5 are
OFF by default).

AIR-CONDITIONER OPERATING MODE
FAN MODE: The indoor unit works as a fan only. Indoor fan
works at the set speed. The water valve is always closed.
HEAT MODE [COOL MODE]: The indoor unit works as a heat-
ing [cooling] unit.
The internal fan works at the set speed (see the VENTILATION
paragraph). If the measured temperature values are not suit-
able for the type of operating mode, ventilation is reduced or
deactivated.
By default the 2V and VL units work with a season changeover
based on the air temperature (AUTO_air, selected with DIP6
OFF).
In this case:
The valve opens and closes on the basis of TRS - equal to
the difference between the room temperature (T.ROOM)
and the set temperature (T.SET) - and no checks are made
on the values of the water probe that precedes the valve
(TWIN, only fitted as standard on 3V models).
The pump contact is activated on the basis of the TRS
value.
By default the 3V units works with a season changeover based
on the water temperature (AUTO_TWIN, selected with DIP6
ON):
The valve opens and closes on the basis of TRS, and the
water temperature check (T.WIN.) is made to ensure the
valve only opens when TWIN is suitable. If the water is still
not at the right temperature 5 minutes after the output
request, the "E4" signal will light up on the display.
The pump contact is always active when the unit is
switched on.
When DIP6 is ON (AUTO_TWIN) and the TWIN probe is not
installed (or is faulty), the unit avoids the inlet water tempera-
ture check and the "E4" (the error appears briefly 5 minutes
after detection).
DRY MODE: The indoor unit works as a dehumidifier.
Depending on the TRS, the control logic defines the valve
opening times and the fan activation time at Low speed (F1) to
maximise dehumidification without over-cooling the room.
AUTO MODE: The indoor unit automatically defines the oper-
ating mode to be used.
By default, the unit works with a season changeover based on
the air temperature (AUTO_air, selected with DIP6 OFF).
In this case, the operating mode is either HEAT or COOL
depending on the TRS value.
If the season changeover on the basis of the water tempera-
ture is selected (AUTO_TWIN, selected with DIP6 ON), the
operating mode is HEAT, FAN or COOL depending on the TWIN
value.
VENTILATION:
DEFAULT
OFF
The fan speed can be set as Low (F1), Medium (F2), High (F3) or
OFF for 2V and VL ver-
FAN AUTO (FA). In the latter case, the control card can vary con-
sions
tinuously between High speed (F3) and UltraLow speed (lower
ON for 3V versions
than Low (F1)), depending on the situation.
OFF
OFF
DIP7 can be used to alter the operating mode of the fan: by
default (DIP7 OFF), ventilation is thermostat-controlled, so
the fan switches off when T.ROOM reaches T.SET.
With DIP7 ON, ventilation is continuous: when T.ROOM
reaches T.SET, the fan rotates at UltraLow speed. This setting is
not recommended in systems without a valve.
PREVENTING AN EXCESSIVELY HOT OR COLD AIR FLOW
To avoid excessively hot or cold air jets, the control card
limits the fan speed if the temperature of the probe in the
coil (T.INDC) is not suitable. With DIP7 OFF, ventilation may
be stopped, whereas with DIP7 ON ventilation is limited to
UltraLow speed.
INTERNAL FAN FAULT PROTECTION
If the internal fan is activated and the card measures a speed ≤
200 rpm for more than 10 seconds, the system will switch off
and an alarm will appear on the display.
The system returns to its normal status when it is switched
back on.
