Safety

An electric shock can be fatal.
Before working with the welding torch:
► Switch the power source to position - O -
► Disconnect the power source from the grid
► Display a clear warning sign advising others not to switch the power source back on

General

Regular and preventive maintenance of the welding torch plays an important factor in
achieving problem-free operation. The welding torch is subjected to high temperatures.
This is why the welding torch needs more frequent maintenance than other components of
a welding system.

Disposal

Materials should be disposed of according to valid local and national regulations.
WARNING!
Check welding torch, hosepack and power connections for damage
Check gas and water connections for leaks
Check cooling unit for proper operation, monitor the return flow quantity of the water
in the coolant container and, if necessary, vent cooling unit
Check that wearing parts are in good condition, clean wearing parts before installing
them
If present, check filter in cooling unit for contamination
Check coolant for cleanliness; if excessive contamination is present, change coolant
and flush the welding torch multiple times via the coolant supply hose and coolant re-
turn flow
Disassemble welding torch and check for deposits/contamination
