MULTIPLE SIDE HANDLE P OSITIONS

RUBBER B UMPER
The gear c ase rubber bumper may wear w ith
use. T hebumper canbereplaced withpart
number 397711-00 available at extracost
fromDEWALT authorized service centers.
Replacement shouldbe performed by
DEWALT a uthorized servicecentersor
qualified service p ersonnel.
SPINDLE LOCK C
The spindle l ockpinisprovided toprevent the
spindle from rotating when installing orremoving
wheels. Operate thespindle lock pinonly when
thetoolis turned offandunplugged fromthe
power source. Toengage thelock, depress the
spindle l ockbutton (C)androtate thespindle
until youareunable torotate i tfurther.

CAUTION: Never depress the spindle lock button while the grinder
is running. Never turn on the grinder while the spindle lock button is
depressed. Damage to your tool or personal injury may result.
SOFT MOUNT
The grinder is equipped with a soft mount, enabling easy wheel
installation and removal.
Accessories and Attachments
It is important to choose the correct guards, backing pads and
flanges to use with grinder accessories. See the chart on pages
5-7 for information on choosing the correct accessories.
