The demolition hammer is equipped with an active vibration
reduction system (4), which cuts vibration without reducing
performance. This system significantly reduces the
exposure level over the total working period, protecting the
user from the effects of vibration.
Before inspecting, carrying out any maintenance or
cleaning tasks, switch off the demolition hammer and
unplug the power cord.
The motor will not start if the carbon brushes are worn out.
The brushes must be replaced in time, otherwise there will
be poor contact between the brushes and the rotor, which
may lead to sparks and damage to the power tool. Both
carbon brushes should be replaced at the same time by two
brushes with equal characteristics.
Always replace both carbon brushes. To access the
brushes, remove the bottom cap, paying attention to all the
screws so as not to damage the machine.
It is advisable that VITO service team change the brushes
due to the complexity of the task.
The demolition hammer does not need constant or daily
lubrication as it has a built-in lubrication system. However,
it is recommended that you replace the grease periodically
to ensure the hammer lasts longer.
Cleaning
After each use, clean all the components of the demolition
hammer. Clean the demolition hammer with a clean, damp
cloth and blow it out with compressed air at low pressure.
Regularly remove and clean the grease accumulated inside
the chuck.
Careful handling protects the power tool and extends its
service life.
The power tool and its ventilation slots must be kept clean.
Clean the ventilation slots regularly or whenever they
become blocked.
Storage
When not in use, store the demolition hammer in a dry,
clean place, free of corrosive smoke and out of children's
reach. Keep the hammer in its original packaging.
The packaging is made up of recyclable materials,
which you can dispose on local recycling points.
Never dispose of power tools with your household
waste!
According to the European Directive 2012/19/EC on
electrical and electronic equipment waste and its
transposition into national law, power tools must be
collected separately and delivered to the collection sites
provided for this purpose.
You can get information regarding the disposal of the power
tool through the person in charge for recycling in your city.
