Check and adjust play speed
The stroboscope beams a blue flashing light onto the edge of the turntable. This light is
reflected when the turntable rotates. By using the PITCH ADJ controller you can make
fine adjustments to the rotation speed.
The upper ring on the edge of the turntable is used for setting the rotation speed to
33 rpm.
The middle ring on the edge of the turntable is used for setting the rotation speed
to 45 rpm.
The rotation speed is correct when the reflected light stays steady in one location.
The rotation speed is wrong if the reflected light seems to move to the left or right.
If the light moves to the left, the rotation speed is too fast. Move the PITCH ADJ
lever down (– direction).
If the light moves to the right, the rotation speed is too slow. Move the PITCH ADJ
lever up (+ direction).
Adjust the movement radius of the pick-up arm
On some records the pick-up arm may move back
before playback has completely ended.
It is also possible that the pick-up arm does not re-
turn all the way to the rest.
The movement radius of the pick-up arm can be
adjusted with a setting screw. It is located under the
rubber cover next to the pick-up arm axis.
You need a small Phillips screwdriver.
Remove the rubber cover.
To extend the pick-up arm
movement inwards (pick-up arm
returns too early), turn the screw
a little to the right (1).
To extend the pick-up arm
movement outwards (pick-up arm
does not reach the rest), turn the
screw a little to the left (2).
NOTE
The record player is set by default to the most common record settings. Do not
turn the screw unnecessarily or too often.
