Safe handling of batteries
You need batteries for the remote control. Please note the following:
Keep batteries away from children. Batteries can be fatal if swallowed. If a battery is
swallowed, please obtain immediate medical assistance.
Do not throw batteries into a fire, do not short-circuit them and do not dismantle
them.
If necessary, clean the battery and device contacts before insertion.
Always change all batteries at the same time.
Only use batteries of the same type. Do not use different types of batteries; do not
use a mix of used and new batteries.
Please pay attention to the polarity (+/–) when inserting the batteries.
Remove the batteries if the device is not going be used for long periods.
Remove empty batteries immediately! There is an increased risk of leakage.
Do not expose batteries to excessive heat, e.g. sunshine. Do not place the device on
radiators. There is an increased risk of leakage.
Never try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. They may explode!
Remove leaking batteries from the device immediately. Clean the contacts before
inserting new batteries. There is a risk of skin irritations from battery acid!
Do not dismantle or deform the batteries.
If battery acid has leaked out, it is essential to avoid contact with the skin, eyes and
mucous membranes! If the acid does come into contact with skin, immediately
rinse the affected areas with plenty of clear water and consult a doctor immediately.
Cleaning the unit
Before cleaning, pull the plug out of the mains socket. Clean the outside of the record
player with soft, dry cloth. Avoid the use of chemical solutions and cleaning products
because these may damage the appliance surface or markings.
Under no circumstances permit liquid to penetrate the record player. Keep the dust cover
closed – except when inserting or removing a record, etc. – and free of dust.
