Safety Warnings for Heating Wire Cutting Machines
This device may only be assembled, put
into operation, operated, maintained and
cleaned by children above 8 years or
through unexperienced persons, when
under the supervision of appropriately
authorised persons.
Smoke develops during cutting. This smoke
contains extremely small amounts of sty-
rene, which are well below the allowable
limit value. Certified measurements on
behalf of the German Professional and
Trade Association have revealed no health
hazard.
The heating wire is very hot. Touching will
definitely lead to burns. The use of protec-
tive gloves is recommended.
The wire is subject to mechanical tension
(spring force). When the glowing wire tears
off, there will be sparking. The use of safety
glasses/goggles is mandatory.
For Your Safety
Working safely with this product
is possible only when the operat-
ing and safety information are
read completely and the instruc-
tions contained therein are strictly
followed.
Never connect directly to the main power
supply. Operation is permitted only via
transformer. In case of a defective connec-
tion cable (or plug), replace immediately.
Repairs on of the electrical equipment may
only be performed through a qualified elec-
trician!
Use of other heating wires than the original
ones can damage the device and the trans-
former, and cause possible further conse-
quential damage.
When the device is connected to power,
the transformer generates heat (up to
58 °C), even when the device is switched
off.
Make sure that this heat can be emitted
freely and that no heat-sensitive objects are
heated up, which themselves then become
a hazard source.
Protect the device against moisture. Operat-
ing the device outdoors in rain is prohibited.
The aforementioned safety warnings supplement
the safety instructions in effect for the workplace.
