Troubleshooting/Maintenance
Fusing
Your Tripp Lite inverter is fitted with internal fuses which should not
have to be replaced under normal operating conditions. Blown fuses
usually indicate a reversed polarity or short circuit within the device or
equipment.
Contact Tripp Lite Customer Support for assistance if fuses are blown.
Maintenance
Your Inverter requires no maintenance and contains no user-
serviceable or replaceable parts, but should be kept clean and dry at
all times. Periodically check, clean and tighten all cable connections as
necessary, both on the unit and on the battery.
Maximum output power (continuous or peak) is only available when the
vehicle battery is properly charged. Run the vehicle's engine often to
maintain a proper charge.
The Inverter can operate with your vehicle engine off, but best
performance is usually attained when the engine is running. Because
the Inverter converts, but does not produce electrical energy, the
Inverter's performance is relative to the condition of your vehicle's
electrical system (battery, alternator and wiring). If other loads (air
conditioner, heater, lights, etc.) are also using power, you may get less
runtime.
