VII. CONFIGURATION & MENU FUNCTIONS

1. CHOOSING HOW TO TAKE THE TEMPERATURE

The THERMOFLASH® LX-360 is specially designed to take a human
body temperature with the BODY function.
You can also use the ThermoFlash® to measure the temperature of the sur-
face of an object, a food or a liquid by selecting the SURFACE TEMP mode.
By selecting the ROOM mode, it will display the ambient temperature
of the room you are in.
Temperature range for BODY mode: 32°C - 42.9°C (89.6°F - 109.2°F).
Temperature range for SURFACE TEMP mode: 0°C - 60°C (32°F - 140°F).
Temperature range for ROOM mode: 0°C - 50°C (32°F - 122°F).
Press the MODE button for one second, the screen will display BODY.
Press the MODE button again to switch to SURFACE TEMP or ROOM mode.
Note: The THERMOFLASH® LX-360 is pre-calibrated to BODY.
Important: Surface temperature is not the same as internal body temperature. Internal temperature
must always be read with the BODY function.
Always select the BODY function for an internal temperature reading and the SURFACE TEMP or ROOM
function for an external reading (e.g. bottle, bath, bedroom...)

2. CHOOSING THE TEMPERATURE UNIT

Press the °C/°F button for one second: the THERMOFLASH® LX-360 will display the temperatures in de-
grees Celsius (the screen will display °C).
Press the °C/°F again, and the THERMOFLASH® LX-360 will display the temperatures in degrees Fahren-
heit (the screen will display °F).

3. THE MEM BUTTON

F1. High temperature alert setting
Press and hold the MEM button for 3 seconds, and the thermometer will beep and the screen will show:
F1. The alert setting will flash on and off.
Press the °C/°F button to lower the setting by 0.1°C, or the MODE button to increase it by 0.1°C.
To save the setting, press the MEM button.
Note: the high temperature alert is by default set to 38°C.

F2. Recalibration

To recalibrate the temperature readings of your THERMOFLASH® LX-360, press and hold the MEM button for
3 seconds. The thermometer will beep and display: F1. Press the MEM button again to display the F2 menu.
Press the °C/°F button to lower the setting by 0.1°C, or the MODE button to increase it by 0.1°C.
To save the setting, press the MEM button.
If you are unsure, we recommend that you leave the setting at +0.0°C (default setting).
Any time you move the ThermoFlash® to a place with a significantly different ambient temperature,
leave it at this temperature for at least 15 minutes before use.

F3. Add/remove beep

Press and hold the MEM button for 3 seconds, the thermometer will beep and display: F1. Press the MEM
button twice to display the F3 menu.

4. THE BACKLIGHT BUTTON

Press button 4 to activate the LED and to help you while taking a temperature at night.

5. EXIT CONFIGURATION MODE

Press and hold the MEM button until the screen switches itself off.

6. DATA SAVING

To display the last temperature readings saved, press the MEM button for one second.
You will then see the last temperature reading. Scroll through the readings with the MODE button.
The number displayed in the interval between two readings is the reading number.
Press the °C/°F button to scroll back.
To exit the memory menu, press the measure button. The ThermoFlash® will switch off automatically
after five seconds.

7. CHANGING THE BATTERIES

Display: When the LCD screen displays BATTERY
Operation: Open the cover and replace the old batteries, making sure to insert them the correct way
round. Inserting them incorrectly may damage the thermometer and void the thermometer's warranty.
Never use rechargeable batteries. Use single use batteries.
