IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using your appliance, basic precautions should
always be follwed, including the following:

Read all instructions.
•
Unplug the steamer when you refill the water
tank orwhen cleaning it.
•
Do not keep the steamer where there is any risk
of itfalling into water.
•
Do not pull the power cord to remove the plug
from the power outlet. Always pull from the
plug.
•
Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen
into water. Unplug immediately.
•
Use in a dry area only.
•
The steam is approximately 100°C (212°F) and
may cause injury.
•
Allow the steamer to cool off before putting it
away after steaming.
•
The steamer should not be used as a toy.
•
People younger than 18 years old should not
operate the steamer.
•
Children should not clean or maintain the
steamer.
•
Do not descale the steamer with corrosive acid.
The steamer may turn the acid into gases that
are lethal to inhale.
•
Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let
appliance cool completely before putting away.
Loop cord loosely around appliance when
storing.
•
Do not use this steamer in any other way than
thatdescribed in this manual.
•
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this
appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). This plug will fit in a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does
not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician
to install the proper outlet. Do not change the
plug in any way.
•
If an extension cord is absolutely necessary,
a (10 ampere rating of the appliance) ampere
rated cord should be used. Cords rated for less
amperage may overheat. Care should be taken
to arrange the cord so that the cord cannot be
pulled or tripped over.
•
Do not operate the steamer without properly
filling the water container with water.
•
Burns could occur from touching hot parts, hot
water, or steam. Make sure to always wear the
included heat resistant Steaming Pad on your
free hand while steaming to prevent burns.
•
To reduce the risk of circuit overload, do not
operate anything other than your steamer (a
high-wattage appliance) on the same circuit.
•
Do not steam your own or any other person's
clothes while they are wearing them.
•
To reduce the risk of contact with hot water
emitting from steam vents, check appliance
before each use by holding it away from body
and operating steam button.
•
Use appliance only for its intended use.
•
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not
immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
•
Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet;
instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
•
Always disconnect appliance from electrical
outlet when filling with water or emptying, and
when not in use.
•
Close supervision is necessary for any
appliance being used by or near children.
Do not leave appliance unattended while
connected.
•
Do not operate appliance with a damaged
cord, or if the appliance has been dropped
or damaged. To reduce the risk of electric
shock, do not disassemble or attempt to repair
the appliance, take it to a qualified service
person for examination and repair. Incorrect
reassembly or repair could cause a risk of fire,
electric shock, or injury to persons when the
appliance is used.
