Choosing the right cookware
Only use cookware with a base suitable for the induction hob. Look for the induction
-
symbol on the packaging or on the bottom of the cookware.
You can check if your cookware is suitable with a magnet test. Move a magnet towards
-
the cookware base. If it sticks or is attracted by the utensil, this means that the utensil is
compatible with the induction hob.
If you do not have a magnet:
-
1.
Pour some water into the utensil to be tested.
2.
Follow the steps in 'Using the induction hob'.
3.
If
does not appear on the display flashing and water heats up, the cookware is
suitable.
Cookware made of the following materials is not suitable: pure stainless steel, aluminium
-
or copper without magnetic base, glass, wood, porcelain, ceramic, and earthenware.
Cooking zone size (diameter/mm)
160
180
300
Cookware should be placed exactly in the centre of the cooking zone.
-
In some cooking zones there is an inner diameter with a lighter contour which
recommends the user to change to a smaller cooking zone, if available, with a smaller
diameter utensil. This results in optimum performance and efficiency. However, you can
use cookware with diameters smaller than this limit.
