ATTENTION:
If the plastic inner frame including bumper brackets needs to be reatta-
ched, then figs.3-5 must be cut out as shown here. When replacing the
plastic frame, points 3 and 4 no longer apply.
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Remove the bumper. Take Care!!! Ensure that the bumper cannot
get damaged during these operations. Remove the bumper frame-
work including the bumper brackets which are no longer needed.
Remove the spare wheel. Remove the exhaust pipe from the last two
fixtures. Remove the rearmost part of the heat shield.
2. Enlarge holes A (ø6.5mm) through the bumper. Cut the part indicated in
fig.1 out of the bumper. Place the tow bar in the bumper and attach it at
points A using two M6x20 bolts with flat washers (ø25x6.5x1.5), spring
washers and nuts.
3. Fasten the strips B and G as shown in the sketch, along with the ball,
socket plate to the tow bar with one M12x70/26.2 bolt and one M12x90
bolt with flat washers and self-locking nuts. Take care!!! Ensure that
the strips B and G are positioned level at the inside of the bumper.
4. Enlarge holes C (ø6.5mm) through the bumper and attach the bumper
at holes C using two M6x25 bolts with double flat washers
(ø25x6.5x1.5), spring washers, and nuts to the strips B and G. Tighten
all nuts and bolts to the torques listed in the table.

5. Slide the tow bar onto the chassis and attach at points D at the existing
holes in the chassis with four M10x35 bolts, backplates E (30x6
L=30mm), and spring washers. Attach at points F, at the existing holes
in the chassis, two M10x35 bolts with flat washers (ø25x10.5x4) and
spring washers. Tighten all nuts and bolts to the torques in the table.
Attach the bumper using the remaining fixture points to the car. Replace
all that was removed in point 1.
NB: Prevent (in the worst possible case) brake and ALB lines from over-
heating due to the exhaust pipe by installing a shielding plate (see fig.2)
This must be ordered separately.

* Remove the insulating material from the contact area of the fitting
points.
* All bolts are quality 8.8 - nuts 8. or when mentioned in fitting instructions
