Transporting
Transporting
Danger
Before transporting the device on or in a
vehicle: Switch off motor and remove con-
nection cable. Allow the motor to cool down
(approx. 30 minutes).
When transporting the scarifier in or on a
vehicle, ensure that it does not move around
unintentionally. Before lifting or carrying the
appliance, pull out the mains plug. Before
moving the unit over surfaces, such as foot-
paths or driveways, stop the motor.
Caution
Do not wedge or kink the power cord be-
tween the motor and switch/plug combina-
tion.

The steering handle can be folded down to facili-
tate storage.
Servicing/cleaning
Danger
Perform only the maintenance work described here
yourself. All other work, in particular repairs, must
be performed by a trained specialist. Improper work
may damage the device and also result in injuries.
Have the device inspected once a year at a special-
ist workshop.
To protect against injury, before all work on the
device
- switch OFF the motor
- wait until all moving parts have come to a com-
plete standstill.
- pull out the mains plug
- allow the motor to cool down (approx. 30 minutes).
Maintenance
Danger
To protect against injury from the cutters,
arrange for a specialist workshop to perform
all work such as replacing or regrinding the
cutters (special tools required).
Ensure that maintenance work is always per-
formed to schedule so that the mower remains in
a safe condition.
Before every use
Check connection cable.
Check that threaded connections are tight.
Check the safety features.
Check appliance – see section "Before working
with the appliance".
Check the point of contact of the clutch:
(Only devices with a wheel drive)
- If the motor is running and the wheel drive
switched off, the device must not move forwards.
- If the motor is running and the wheel drive
switched on, the device should move forwards.
If necessary, adjust the point of connection using
the knurling tool/adjusting nut on the gear drive
lever or Bowden cable.
Once per season
Lubricate the joints and twist springs on the de-
flector flap.
At the end of the season the unit must be checked
and serviced by a specialist workshop.
Cleaning
Caution
Do not spray the device with water, otherwise
electric components may be damaged.
- Clean the device after every use. A device which
is not cleaned will result in damaged materials and
impaired function.
Cleaning the grass sack
The easiest time to clean the grass catcher is imme-
diately after mowing.
Detach and empty the grass sack.
The grass catcher may be cleaned with a powerful
jet of water (garden hose).
Allow the grass sack to dry out thoroughly before
using it again.
Cleaning lawn mower
Danger
Work on the cutters can cause injury.
Wear safety gloves for your protection.
Whenever possible, always clean the appliance
directly after mowing.
Tilt the appliance to the side,
clean the cutter chamber and the ejector cover
with brush, hand broom, or cloth,
set the appliance down on its wheels, and remove
all visible grass residue and other soiling.
