Fitting and removing the insertion tool
Whenever fitting or removing the insertion tool the
following instructions must be observed:
♦ To prevent an accidental start: switch off the air
supply and bleed the machine by pressing the
start and stop device. Disconnect the machine
from the power source.
♦ Before inserting a tool, lubricate the tool shank
with grease.
♦ Close the tool retainer and check the lock function
by tugging the inserted tool sharply outwards.
CP 0122
1. Place the retainer over the hex body of the chisel.
2. Place the buffer (A) over the stem of the chisel.
3. Insert the chisel shank into the cylinder and
screw the retainer onto the cylinder until it is
locked into position by the retaining lock ring.
CP 0122 SL
1. When the tool retainer is in (position B), insert
the insertion tool into the cylinder.
2. Close the tool retainer (position A).

1. Slide the conical buffer (A) onto the chisel from
the nose end of the chisel.
2. Slide the retainer onto the chisel from the nose
end of the chisel.
3. Screw the retainer onto the cylinder.
4. Ensure that the retainer is locked into position
by the retaining lock ring.

WARNING Involuntary start
Involuntary start of the machine may cause injury.
Keep your hands away from the start and stop

device until you are ready to start the machine.

Stop the machine immediately in all cases of

power supply interruption.
Start and stop
Start the machine by squeezing the trigger while
firmly holding the handle.
