INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERY PACK

Always remove battery pack from the tool when you
are assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning,
or when not in use. Removing battery pack will prevent
accidental starting that could cause serious personal
injury.
To lock the switch trigger, place the direction of rotation
selector in the center position.
Insert the battery pack into the battery port as shown.
Make sure the latch on the battery pack snaps into place
and the battery pack is secured in the product before
beginning operation.
Depress the latch and pull to release and remove the
battery pack.
For complete charging instructions, see the operator's
manuals for your battery pack and charger.
WARNING:
Battery tools are always in operating condition. Therefore,
switch should always be in the OFF position when not
in use or carrying at your side. Remove battery pack
when transporting or carrying blower to avoid accidental
starting, which could result in serious injury.
SWITCH TRIGGER/LOCK-ON BUTTON

The lock-on button is convenient when blowing for extend-
ed periods of time. It is located on the handle above the
switch trigger.

To turn the blower off: Release the switch trigger.
To lock on: Depress the switch trigger. Push in and hold
the lock-on button. Release the switch trigger.

VARIABLE SPEED LEVER
See Figure 3, page 9.
The variable speed lever is located on top of the blower
handle, above the switch trigger.
To increase or decrease the blowing speed:
 Hold the blower in normal operating position. Gradually
push the speed lever to the positive ( + ) symbol to
increase speed. Push to the negative ( − ) symbol to
decrease speed.
 If you desire to lock the switch on at a given speed,
depress the switch trigger, push in and hold the lock-on
button, and release the switch trigger. Adjust the variable
speed lever until the desired speed is reached.
 Avoid running the blower at low speeds for extended
periods of time. Running at low speeds under constant
usage may cause the blower to become overheated. If
this occurs, cool the unit by running it without a load and
at full speed.
OPERATING THE BLOWER
See Figure 4, page 9.
 To keep from scattering debris, blow around the outer
edges of a debris pile. Never blow directly into the center
of a pile.
 To reduce sound levels, limit the number of pieces of
equipment used at any one time.
 Watch out for children, pets, open windows, or freshly
washed cars, and blow debris safely away.
 After using blowers or other equipment, CLEAN UP!
Dispose of debris properly.
WARNING:
Battery tools are always in operating condition. Therefore,
switch should always be in the OFF position when not in
use or carrying at your side.
