Removal Instructions
STEP 1: Raise vehicle and remove front wheels. Be sure the ground is level; installation measurements must
be taken from level ground.
STEP 2: Remove tie rod, drag link and steering damper assembly by loosening fasteners at 4 locations:
•
Steering damper at axle
•
Drag link at Pitman arm
•
Tie rod at driver side steering knuckle
•
Drag link at passenger side steering knuckle
Do not adjust; parts will be referenced to help re-align vehicle after reassembly.
STEP 3: Remove brake calipers and rotors.
STEP 4: Remove axle nuts and bolts holding wheel
bearing assemblies to knuckles. Remove axle shafts
and wheel bearing assemblies.
