STEP 36: Return sway bar links to threaded bullets
and install cotter pin onto threaded bullet.
NOTE: This may be a snug fit. Lubricant may be used
to ease installation. Lubricate all four bushings
using grease fittings.
STEP 37: Tighten both track bar bushing bolts to 55 ft-lbs. Center vehicle over axle using adjustment sleeve
if necessary. Verify collars fully overlap with mating thread and tighten to 35 ft-lbs. NOTE: Ensure vehicle is
on level ground and at ride height to verify centering. Reference points for centering the vehicle should be
measured between the frame and axle taken from identical locations on both sides. Measurements should
be within 1/8" (3 mm) of each other.
STEP 38: Adjust tie rod and drag link adjustment sleeve collars if necessary. Verify tie rod ball joints are
centered and collars are fully overlapping with mating threads. Tighten both drag link collar bolts to 35 ft-lbs
and both tie rod collar bolts to 20 ft-lbs.
STEP 39: Perform vehicle alignment
and balance tires.
