The supply voltage must match the technical
specifications of the power tool. Keep the voltage
between ± 5% of the rated value. Do not operate the power
tool in places where the supply voltage is not stable. The
power cord must be plugged into socket with differential
protection and earth terminal.
If the workplace is extremely hot, humid or with a high
concentration of dust, the socket circuit must be protected
with a circuit breaker (30 mA) to ensure the safety of the
user.
Do not expose the power tool to rain or operate it in wet or
damp conditions. The presence of water in a power tool
increases the risk of damage and electric shock to the user.
Hold the power tool by insulated surfaces only, which
prevent electric shock if the tool comes into contact with
concealed wiring during use.
Never use the power cord to pull, carry or unplug the power
tool. Damaged power cords increase the risk of electric
shock.
Keep the power cord and plug away from heat sources, oil
and sharp objects. Check the condition of the power cord
regularly, if it is damaged, it must be replaced or repaired
by a qualified technician.
Never change the power cord's plug and use a socket which
is compatible with the plug. Do not use any kind of socket
adaptor.
The use of extension cords to plug in the power cord is not
recommended. However, if you use an extension cord, you
should take some precautions, such as:
▪ If you operate the power tool outdoors, use only
extension cords suitable for outdoor use. Use of a
suitable extension cord reduces the risk of electric
shock;
▪ Only use extension cords, plugs and sockets with earth
contact;
▪ The cross-section of the extension cord's conductors
shall be proportional to the length and with the same
characteristics as or larger than the rotary hammer's
power cord;
▪ Do not use damaged extension cords. Examine the
extension cords before using them and replace if
necessary;
▪ Always unplug the extension cord before removing the
plug from the power tool;
▪ When using an extension cord reel, unroll the cord
completely.
Individuals who have not read the instruction manual and
are not familiarized with how to operate the rotary hammer
must not use it.
To ensure that you work with the power tool safely, you
should consider a few precautions and procedures before
start-up:
▪ Inspect the machine before each use. Check that the
attached accessories are fitted correctly and in good
condition. If damaged or worn out excessively, replace
the accessories;
▪ In normal operation, the rotary hammer is designed to
generate vibrations. Check that all fixing bolts are
properly tightened. Regular servicing is important to
ensure the safety and performance of the power tool;
▪ After fitting the accessories and before using the device
on a workpiece, run it at maximum no-load speed for
some time. Check for moving parts misalignment or any
other condition that may affect the rotary hammer
operation. Check that all rotating parts run smoothly,
without abnormal noises and sparks on the carbon
brushes;
▪ Check that the safety devices are in perfect condition
and function properly. Never use the power tool if the
safety devices are missing, inhibited, damaged or worn
out;
▪ Ensure that the ON/OFF switch is off positioned when
plugging in the power cord. If the ON/OFF switch is
damaged or does not enable you to control the operation
of the power tool, it must be repaired or replaced in order
to prevent unintentional starting of the rotary hammer.
Make all adjustments and work necessary for the correct
assembly of the power tool if you have any questions or
difficulties, contact your official dealer.
