Safety, performance, and dependability have been given
top priority in the design of your planer.
INTENDED USE
The planer is intended to be used only by adults who have
read and understood the instructions and warnings in
this manual, and can be considered responsible for their
actions.
The product is intended for planing wood (removing an
even layer to provide a smooth, flat finish) and rebating
wood.
The product is not intended to be used for stationary
planing.
The product should only be used in well ventilated areas.
The product is intended for consumer use only. Do not use
the product for any other purpose.
WARNING
Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations
and specifications provided with this power tool.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
PLANER SAFETY WARNINGS
Wait for the cutter to stop before setting the tool
down. An exposed rotating cutter may engage the
surface, leading to possible loss of control and serious
injury.
Use clamps or another practical way to secure and
support the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding
the work by your hand or against the body leaves it
unstable and may lead to loss of control.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES
Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces only.
Cutting a "live" wire may make the exposed metal parts
of the tool "live" and could give the operator an electric
shock.
The dust produced when using this tool may be harmful
to health. Do not inhale the dust. Use a dust absorption
system and wear a suitable dust protection mask.
Remove deposited dust thoroughly, e.g., with a vacuum
cleaner.
Do not remove splinters or saw dust while tool is
running.
Only plane with sharp blades, avoid metals (nails,
screws). Check the workpiece before planing.
Do not reach into the danger area of the tool when
plugged in.
Place the front plate of the machine on to the workpiece
and switch on, before the planer blade touches the
workpiece and then guide evenly over the workpiece.
The v-shape notch in the front of the supporting plate
ensures safe chamfering of edges.
Note: The self opening swivel guard should be lifted only
by the workpiece or with the lever.
Note: Do not reach into the dust port with your fingers.
They could be injured by the rotating blades.
Stop the product, make sure that the blade comes to a
complete stop and remove the battery before:
Cleaning a blockage or unclogging
Checking, cleaning or working on the product
Use the dust collection device or connect a dust
extraction vacuum when operating the product.
Ambient temperature range for tool during operation is
between 0°C and 40°C.
Ambient temperature range for tool storage is between
0°C and 40°C.
The recommended ambient temperature range for the
charging system during charging is between 10°C and
38°C.
ADDITIONAL BATTERY SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING
To reduce the risk of fire, personal injury, and product
damage due to a short circuit, never immerse your
tool, battery pack or charger in fluid or allow a fluid to
flow inside them. Corrosive or conductive fluids, such
as seawater, certain industrial chemicals, and bleach
or bleach-containing products, etc., can cause a short
circuit.
Ambient temperature range for battery during use is
between 0°C and 40°C.
Ambient temperature range for battery storage is
between 0°C and 20°C.
TRANSPORTING LITHIUM BATTERIES
Transport the battery in accordance with local and national
provisions and regulations.
Follow all special requirements on packaging and labelling
when transporting batteries by a third party. Ensure that
no batteries can come in contact with other batteries
or conductive materials while in transport by protecting
exposed connectors with insulating, non-conductive caps
or tape. Do not transport batteries that are cracked or
leaking. Check with the forwarding company for further
advice.
RESIDUAL RISKS
Even when the product is used as prescribed, it is still
impossible to completely eliminate certain residual risk
factors. The following hazards may arise and the operator
should pay special attention to avoid the following:
Injury caused by dust
Using the product will produce considerable amount
of dust and fine particles. Use the dust collection
device or connect a dust extraction vacuum when
operating the product. Wear dust masks containing
