OPERATION
Attaching and changing the sanding paper
• Always unplug from the mains before changing the sanding paper!
• Remove the used sanding paper.
• Place a new sanding sheet on the sanding disc and make sure that the vent holes in
the sanding paper coincide with those in the sanding disc.
Switching your finishing sander on and off
Switch on: press the switch (I = ON)
Switch off: press the switch (O = OFF)
• Turn the machine on first, and then put it on the work piece.
• Do not use excess pressure, or you risk increased wear on the attachment and the motor.
• Move the Rotary Sander over the work piece with low and steady pressure, in circles
or alternating between the longitudinal and the crosswise directions.
• To prevent sanding through the surface, do not tilt the Rotary Sander.
• Do not turn the machine off while is it on the work piece. Lift the machine from the work
piece first, and then turn it off.
• Never use the Rotary Sander without sanding paper.
• To ensure sufficient cooling of the motor, do not cover the ventilation slot with your hand.
Vacuum connection
The Rotary Sander is provided with an adaptor for a vacuum attachment.
Place the adapter in the intended opening (5) of the machine housing up to the catch and connect
a vacuum.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
• Always unplug your finishing sander from the mains before carrying out any cleaning or
servicing work on it!
• The Rotary Sander is maintenance-free.
• Clean the housing occasionally with a dry cloth.
• Do not use cleaning agents, as they can corrode the casing.
SPARE PARTS, DISUSED POWER TOOLS AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
• Only use original replacement parts and accessories.
• If your electrical appliance is used so intensely that it must be replaced, or you have no more
use for it, you are obligated to dispose of the appliance at a recycling center.
• Contact your municipal waste collection service or your local authorities to find out where you
can recycle your power tool.
• Power tools contain valuable raw materials that can be recycled. You will contribute to
recycling valuable raw materials by handing your tool in at a municipal waste collection site.
• Power tools also contain substances that may be harmful to the environment and humans if
disposed of improperly.
Do not dispose electric products in the household waste. According to the
European standard 2012/19/EU for the disposing of electrical equipment
(WEEE), it should be taken to your local waste collection station and offered
for recycling.
