5.1
Replacing the vent screw
Replace the vent screw as follows:
1. Shut down the OxyTest 2000 (see chapter 3.3).
2. Remove the safety cable on the vent screw by loosening the fas-
tening screw (Allen key, 2.5 mm).
3. Remove any adhesive residues from the fastening screw using,
e.g., a wire brush.
4. Remove vent screw and dispose.
5. Screw the new vent screw into the vent valve until it is hand-tight.
6. Attach the safety cable to the new vent screw using the fastening
screw. Secure the fastening screw with a medium strength sealant
such as medium strength Loctite.
7. Keep the vent screw in the closed position.
8. Apply a pressure of 220 bar to the OxyTest 2000.
9. Use leak detector spray to moisten the vent screw around the
screw hole. No bubbles should appear within 60 seconds. If bub-
bles form within this period, shut down the OxyTest 2000 (see
chapter 3.3) and contact authorized specialist personnel.
10. If the seal is tight, close the supply valve on the connected pres-
sure supply.
11. Carefully open the vent screw. The OxyTest 2000 must be depres-
surized within 10 to 20 seconds. If this does not occur, shut down
the OxyTest 2000 (see chapter 3.3) and contact authorized spe-
cialist personnel.
Vent screw replacement is now complete.
6
Transport
All outlets on the OxyTest 2000 must be closed off with their respective
cover caps. The OxyTest 2000 must only be transported and stored in
its transport case. Be sure to observe the temperature range (see
chapter 8).
