Load hook and latch
The load hook must be regularly inspected.
1. Press the latch by hand and check that it runs easily.
2. Make sure that the latch closes properly when released.
3. Inspect the hook for wear.
Vane motor and transmission parts inspection
We recommend to perform the first inspection after an operating time of times
1 meter lifts. Follow the instructions in the Maintenance section in the Service
manual.
Brake adjustment
The disc brake of the air hoist is correctly adjusted upon delivery. If adjustment
is necessary, use the following procedure:
1. Unhook the load.
2. Unscrew the setting screw approximately 360 degrees.
3. Connect the hoist to the air supply and run it slowly in the lifting direction,
without any load.
4. Tighten the setting screw until the hoist stops or clearly slows down.
5. Unscrew the setting screw approximately 45 degrees until the hoist rotates
easily again.
If the brake cannot be adjusted in accordance with these directions, the
brake shoes and brake disc should be cleaned with a grease solvent, see
section Service.
6. Before using the hoist again, load and lift the intended load – or rated load
if possible – approximately 15-30 cm (6-12 inches) and check that the
brake holds the load in position. Adjust if necessary.
Make sure that the brake is not adjusted too hard by driving the hoist un-
loaded at 1 bar air pressure. The hoist should start easily without influence
from the brake.
