TC90 with a high-pressure lens-type sealing ring or sealing cone
The dimensions (e.g. nominal width) must harmonise with the dimensions on the process
side. When mounting, apply the appropriate tightening torques and tools (e.g. torque
wrench).
There shall be no leakages during commissioning and operation.
In case of leakage, immediately check the high-pressure thermocouple and take
appropriate measures.
Before commissioning, the plant manager must ensure the compatibility of the medium
with the materials of the high-pressure thermocouple.

7. Maintenance and cleaning

7.1 Maintenance
This thermometer is basically maintenance-free, however, appropriate measures must be
taken to protect high-pressure thermocouples from corrosion.
Regular visual inspections of the dismantled thermocouple for damage (e.g. corrosion or
leakages) must entered in the maintenance plans. Depending on the operating conditions,
the user must define appropriate intervals. This applies in particular to the junction of the
base body and the thermocouple with respect to cracking or deformations.
Check the high-pressure thermocouple after exceeding process-specific working
conditions (e.g. pressure, temperature, flow rate).
Damaged instruments must no longer be used. Repairs must only be carried out by the
manufacturer.
7.2 Cleaning
CAUTION!
Electrical connections must not come into contact with moisture.
Wash or clean the dismounted instrument before returning it, in order to
protect personnel and the environment from exposure to residual media.
Residual media in the dismounted thermometers can result in a risk to
persons, the environment and equipment.
Take sufficient precautionary measures.
For information on returning the instrument see chapter 9.2 "Return".
