Do not work indoors; provide good ventilation. Work only in a clean area, away from infl ammable or greasy materials. Wear eye
protection. Do not wear greasy clothes. Avoid welding and soldering fumes.
During work observe indications regarding: gas consumption (at normal settings) adequately for each of the accessories and the
shelf life of the gas cartridges.
Disconnect the gas cartridge, if the unit is not to be used for a long period or in case it is transported in a vehicle.
Store and transport gas cartridge upright. Protect them from children.
Use only specifi ed spare parts. Do not ever use a unit with a damaged element.
Service point: TOYA SA, ul. Sołtysowicka 13-15, 51-168 Wrocław, Poland.
In case of a gas leakage, it is required to immediately turn the burner off and walk away from any source of fi re and high temperatu-
re. Proceed in accordance with the information contained in safety data sheet provided along with the gas cartridge. Head against
the wind. Isolate the contaminated area and keep bystanders away. Try to stop or at least reduce the emission to the environment,
if possible. Use adequate protection of the respiratory tract. Spray water mist to minimise and limit the release of gas.
OPERATION OF THE TOOL
Installation of a gas cartridge
Installation of a gas cartridge should be realised outdoors or in a well-ventilated room, far from sources of fi re or excessive heat.
Maintain a safe distance from bystanders.
If there is a gas cartridge in the soldering lamp, then make sure it is empty. Shake the gas cartridge, and if you can hear the sound
of a liquid then there is gas in the cartridge. In such cases it is prohibited to remove the gas cartridge.
Close the gas valve, turning the handwheel of the regulator to the limit towards the symbol „-".
Make sure the needle and the sealing around it are not damaged or worn out. A correct needle and sealing is shown in Illustration
(II). In case you detect any sign indicating they are damaged or worn out, for example those presented in Illustration (III), then it
is prohibited to install a gas cartridge.
Pull out the wire separator by slightly squeezing it. Insert the gas container into the blowtorch's basket and press it down until the
container diaphragm breaks down. Afterwards the gas will fl ow out of container, and from this moment do not disassemble the
container until it is completely empty. Then secure the container against slipping out of the basket, by installing the wire separator
(IV) so that it is locked between the gas container and the edge of the basket.
Note! It is forbidden to use the blowtorch without properly installed gas container, for example improperly fi xed in the basket.
Make sure there is no gas leakage. Use for this purpose soapy water, forming of gas bubbles indicates the leakage. It is forbidden
to work with a device, in which gas leakage was detected.
Working with blowtorch
Make sure there is no gas leakage, than slightly turn the controller knob in a direction marked with "+" symbol. Set the gas on fi re at
the burner outlet using a built-in ignition device. By pressing the button (V), the fl ame should appear at the burner's outlet. Set the
fl ame size so that the fl ame is blue by turning the controller knob. Avoid the fl ame in orange. Before the work wait approximately
one minute, all the time observing eventuality of adverse side-eff ects. In the initial warm-up phase, gas fl ickering may occur. At this
moment, the gas container should be in a vertical position. If the fl ickering phenomenon does not disappear by itself, extinguish
the fl ame and contact the manufacturer.
Note! Do not put aside the burner with open fl ame. Do not heat the gas container.
Turning the lamp burner off
Turn the handwheel of the regulator to the limit towards the symbol „-". The fl ame will go out automatically. Be careful, since the
metal parts of the burner heated up during work. Put the lamp down and wait until it has cooled down.
Attention! It is prohibited to cool the lamp down with water.
Maintenance of the tool
Clean the tool with a soft, humid cloth. Heavy dirt should be removed with water and soap. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
In case of any damage or dirt in the nozzle contact a service point of the manufacturer. It is prohibited to clean the nozzle alone,
particularly using sharp objects.
Do not modify the tool. Do not use a tool with damaged elements.
Storage
The tool must be stored in the provided individual cases in a dark, dry and well ventilated room, protected from any access of
unauthorised persons, particularly children. The tool must be stored in an upright position.
