Connecting external display
The MDSm provides connections for an external display. For specific information on using the
external display, including warnings and cautions, see the manufacturer's operating instructions.

Ensure that the pre-routed DC power supply cord ( A ) is connected to the
mini-dock and that the pre-installed AC power cord ( I ) is connected to the
power strip.
See Figure 4 and "Cables, connectors, and mini-dock symbols"
2 Remove both protective covers from the DVI cable ( T ).
3 Connect the following cables:
• DVI cable ( T )
• AC power cord ( J )
• DC power cord ( S )
4 Feed the system AC power cord ( K ) through the power cord protector hole at
back of the lower shelf, and then connect it to a hospital-grade electrical outlet.
A firm push may be required to fit the cord through the protector hole.
