ON/STOP
SWITCH
The ON/STOP SWITCH is used to stop the
engine.
THROTTLE
TRIGGER
The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.
THROTTLE
LOCKOUT
The THROTTLE LOCKOUT must be pressed
before you can squeeze the throttle tngger.
This feature preveuts you from accidentally
squeezing the trigger.
CHOKE/FAST
IDLE LEVER
The choke and fast idle are set by pulling the
CHOK_AST
IDLE LEVER out to the full ex-
tent for cc_d starting or after refue_tag.The
choke provides additional fuel to the engine
duhog cold starting.
PRIMER
BULB
The PRIMER BULB circulates fuel to the
carburetor to provide quicker starting.

CHAIN BRAKE
The CHAIN BRAKE is a device designed to
stop the chain if kickback occurs. The chain
brake activates automatically in the event of
kickback. The chain brake activates manu-
ally if the front hand guardis pushed forward.
The chain brake is disengaged by pulling the
front hand guard back toward the front ham
die as far as possible.
CHAIN TENSION
_tis normalfcr a new chain to stretch durin _gfirst
30 minutes of operation. You should c[qeck
your chain tension frequently. See CHAIN
TENSION under the ASSEMBLY section.
WARNING:
Muffler is very hotdur*
ing and after use. Do not touch the muffler or
allow combustible
material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
