Before use
Removing/charging/
inserting the battery pack
CAUTION!
Always disconnect the mains plug before
removing the battery pack 2 from or insert-
ing it into the charger.
NOTE
The battery is supplied partially charged.
Ideally, charge the battery completely before
use. You can charge the lithium-ion battery at
any time without shortening its service life.
Interrupting the charging process does not
damage the battery.
Never charge the battery pack if the ambient
temperature is below 10°C or above 40°C.
If a lithium-ion battery is to be stored for an
extended period, the charge level should be
checked regularly. The optimum charge level
is between 50% and 80%. The storage climate
should be cool and dry, and the ambient tem-
perature should be between 0°C and 50°C.

Connecting a dust extraction unit
WARNING! RISK OF FIRE!
There is a risk of fire when working with
power tools that are fitted with a dust collec-
tion box or can be connected to a vacuum
cleaner via the vacuum cleaner adapter! In
unfavourable conditions, e.g. when sparks
are flying while sanding metal or metal resi-
dues in wood, wood dust in the dust sack (or
in the vacuum cleaner dust bag) can sponta-
neously ignite. This is a particular risk if the
wood dust is mixed with paint residues or
other chemicals and the workpiece has
become hot after being worked for a long
time. Therefore, do not allow the workpiece
and appliance to overheat and always empty
the dust box or the dust bag in the vacuum
cleaner before taking a break from work.
Wear a dust mask!
WARNING!
Always disconnect the battery pack 2
before carrying out any work on the appli-
ance.
Connecting
Remove the protective cover 3 from the adapter
connection 8.
Plug the adapter 4 into the adapter connec-
tion 8.
Push the hose from a suitable dust extraction
appliance (e.g. a workshop vacuum cleaner)
onto the adapter 4.
